Summary

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, «Mrs. Johana» sought to begin dance classes at a very early age. She was introduced to the formalities of Ballet training at the age of six years old. After moving to United States, her passion and dedication to a refined art and a sense of belonging would inspire to continue her education and achieve as a second major an Associates of Art in Dance (AA).

The Joffrey Ballet School and Steps on Broadway taught an array of techniques and this was something Mrs. Johana took advantage of The Royal and Cecchetti techniques would not find themselves alone in her head.

Nonetheless, the Vaganova and Cuban method was her favorite and was acquire through the years by excellent Ballet Masters in NYC. Mrs. Johana is inspired to transmit discipline, technique, and passion and it reflects in the way she teaches. She believes in discovering and building more talented dancers to the level of classical competition. It is why she takes a very hands on approach to achieve individual excellence with her students.

She realizes the only way to deliver results on any stage is through experience, the muscle memory and knowledge base that will be sure to set her students apart. Mrs. Johana is a current member of the New Jersey Performing Arts Teacher Association and recipient of the scholarship for the instructor’s seminar at the NYC American School of Ballet, She currently train dancers for the most prestigious classical ballet competition such as California Classical and The Youth America Grand Prix which is the biggest international Ballet competition and one of the most prestigious Ballet competitions worldwide.
