Biography

Hilda was born in Tijuana, Baja California. Although she is a Tijuana native she was raised across the border in San Diego.

She began her dance training in Tijuana at the age of 12 in Danza Illusion directed by the Prima Ballerina of Baja California at the time. During this time, she was trained in the Cuban Ballet Technique over a decade.

Hilda continued her studies once she moved to the United States at Southwestern College. There she continued her training under the tutelage of Colleen Shipkowski in the Cecchetti method.

Since then, Hilda has participated in prestigious dance productions, worked with Visionary Dance theater, and guest choreographed. Her dance knowledge extends to jazz, modern, lyrical, tap, ballet folklorico, African dance, and hip-hop.

She is currently employed in various studios in the Chula Vista area and coaches locomotor skills to young athletes for Golden Eagle Futbol Club
